Now that Joel (Skylaneflyer) has broken up his set, the Current Finest List for 1967 Topps has changed.
Dan Markel now leads, with JWMerrill in second.
Do we have a horse race here?

Directly from Mr. Restate The Obvious with Meaningless Rhetorical Question Attached to Throw-off the Uninformed. No comments aside from Rhetorical babblings, just restate information readily found in the registry & increase one's post tally.
It's not enough to read it on the 1967 registry home page minutes ago, but I get to see it again here. Could the movie be far behind? I can see it now. Tom Hanks as Dan Markel and JWMerrill. Pee Wee Herman as toppsgun. Rated G (of course).

By way of review, your "cut & paste" post of at 12:42 didn't receive a reply until 4:58 (over 4 hours later); however, my ridiculing stab at your "cut & paste" job received two comments within minutes.
My thread (this one re: 1967 Leader Board), posted at 4:43 received four replies in less than 2 hours. Your copycat reply has yet to be acknowledged.
How's it feel to be exposed as one of the most insignificant posters on this entire board?
BTW, how does it feel to draft Ricky Williams in the Fastasy League only to find out you've drafted the 3rd string Indy RB and not the Miami stud who is a former Heisman Trophy winner? LOL
In your efforts to win Mr. Congeniality, you've sacrificed the Mr. Originality Award. LMAO

I wasn't trying to be original, I was trying to be ironic in this post. You accused me earlier of being able to dish out smart-ass comments, but not being able to take them. My response in this thread was intended to prove that statement wrong, bury the hatchet so to speak, while being ironic in the process. Looks like I failed. If you like, add that to your list of things I have done wrong.

I thought it was funny, actually. When I make a mistake I admit it (who the hell knew there were two Ricky Williams? not me).... I can only wish the worst mistake I have made in the last 5 months was drafting the wrong Ricky Williams in a fantasy league. I have many faults, but accountability isn't one of them.

For me being so insignificant, you certainly pay alot of attention to me. And if you are just now learning that I am insignificant, you haven't been paying attention. This is common knowledge. I don't post here to be significant or popular -- I don't count posts, track response times, etc. Baseball card collecting is a hobby, and I try to have fun with it.
I have disagreed with other people in past threads, and pissed some folks off. But, almost always the issue is resolved (either in public or private) and not carried forward. When I am wrong, I apologize. If I offended you at any time, it certainly wasn't intentional. Show me where, and I will apologize.
I am quiet certain that the rest of the free world could care less about how insignificant I really am (that is true by definition, huh?). So, if there is anything to resolve, PM me. But this personal stuff shouldn't continue in public.
(edited for typo's and spelling errors -- yep, I make those too)

Dude,
There you go again, SPURRING people on. First it was Danny H., now it's Jim Merrill. Do you truly get your kicks (no pun intended) from SPURRING people on like this? Keep it up and you'll soon hear the dreaded words from the Card Nazi,
"NO CARDS FOR YOU!!"
