Uh oh .... am I wrong, coin wrong, or description wrong?

Just saw an eBay listing for a bi-metal Library of Congress $10 piece.
Linkie
The description says it's a PROOF. The coins looks MS in the picture.
What do you guys think?

  • I'm thinking thet want you to bid on an MS and then send you a proof if you win.image

Looks mint state and is priced like a PCGS MS69. PCGS PR69DCAM go for $550 in my neck of the woods. Someone's going to be sorry.
  • It was priced like a proof, but I believe that the current bidders think it's a MS. Only reason I brought it up was that I just bought a proof 69 Library of Congress for $550 and was looking for a MS. Love the coin, but the MS coins are quite a bit more expensive at that grade.
  • This is a good example of an auction that should raise red flags. The seller has never sold before and only buys coins under $100. The coin is MS (not proof) and is obviously in a NGC holder (not mentioned in the description). I couldn't find another auction with the same picture, but it looks copied. Personally I would not feel comfortable sending this guy hundreds of dollars.

  • FOUND IT!!! This auction has the same pic: LINKY That was pretty easy. If I was buying an item like that I would do the research.
