Just saw an eBay listing for a bi-metal Library of Congress $10 piece. Linkie The description says it's a PROOF. The coins looks MS in the picture. What do you guys think?
It was priced like a proof, but I believe that the current bidders think it's a MS. Only reason I brought it up was that I just bought a proof 69 Library of Congress for $550 and was looking for a MS. Love the coin, but the MS coins are quite a bit more expensive at that grade.
This is a good example of an auction that should raise red flags. The seller has never sold before and only buys coins under $100. The coin is MS (not proof) and is obviously in a NGC holder (not mentioned in the description). I couldn't find another auction with the same picture, but it looks copied. Personally I would not feel comfortable sending this guy hundreds of dollars.
