    I don't think it is.

Precious metals weights are always given in "troy" measurements and I would assume by the sellers description that this piece is silver. I don't buy on ebay, is the seller obligated to sell at a loss?image
  • Wow, someone got a nice deal, should have gotten $60 for that -> just goes to show how category placement is so important.

Don't feel bad for the seller though, they recently sold a 1955/55 PCGS AU58 for $1050 -
I am guessing it is not the good 1955/1955 but sold for at that price.
  • Thanks Russimage

I was going to bid on it but you didn't think it was silver so i didn't bid on it. Oh well i'll get the next one.

Yes, he has to sell for that amount. I bought a 1/10 oz peice of platinum for less than $40. If you don't list what the coin is made out of chances are your not going to get the rice you want.

I think you were wise to pass on it.
It's not marked .999 or whatever silver anywhere on the item.
