The seller says this is BU and scratched, but the scratching on the rev says "COPY" and the obverse strike sure doesn't look right. What do you all think?
I'll give you a likely senerio. A soldier who would never buy a coin in the states went to the middle east and bought himself this great deal. Counterfeit's abound in sandman land. He came back went into a shop and found out he got took. The dealer being honest bought the coin for gold content ( their counterfeit's are at least gold) and scratched copy on the back and marked it up a couple bucks. The coin found it's way to this seller who is either an idiot or think we are and thinks we don't notice that scratch he refers to happens to look like the word copy.
Geeze! What does he think "COPY" stands for? Somebody must have felt really strongly that it's a counterfeit to mess up a "BU" coin by inscribing the word copy onto it.
"Don't talk like an ignarosis."
