While we're on the subject of Type Sets...

For those assembling a 20th Century Type Set, how long do you think it's going to take you to finish?

How about those working on a CNS Type Set?

For me, my 20th Century sets should will be done in 6 months or less. As for the CNS Set, I hate to think how long that may take. Best estimate would be 15 - 20 years. Unless I hit the lottery or finally pick a winner in the market. image

In addition, I've got a couple of listed sets I'm working on. Also a couple of sets that aren't listed. Those are going to take up some cash that could be used to complete the CNS Type set too.

My 20th Cent Type set started about 1-2 years ago, and is 98%.

I expect the 1792-1964 CNS set to take a lifetime....

  • To rebuild my 20th Century MS set, I think that I will need about three years for the CSN and about five years for the gold. To finish my Complete Set in MS, I'm estimating about 30 years or more, and I will probably will only be able to do Complete CSN or Complete Gold, but not both.

  • For my CNS silver set, I expect it to take 12-15 years to complete and then another 5 for upgrades. Some of those early coins are expensive and would be the one coin I bought each year.

    Cameron,

You make a good point. Finish the set and upgrade when you can.

Depend on your goal of the 20th century set. If your goal is W-GPA=60.00, you should be able to finish it less than a month. If you would like to have W-GPA > 67.50, this will take you about a year provided that $$$ is ready. If you would like to have W-GPA > 67.50 and all coins are with eye appealing, regardless $$$, this might take you 1 to 3 years, if you luck is good.

For 1792-1964 set, I set my goal to GPA=60.00 for 95%. I believe I need 15 years to reach my goal. image
