How many coins are "regraded" on average in the double verification process? In other words, if a verifier disagrees with the 3 graders grade, what happens next??

Thanks

Changes in verification for non-modern coins (pre-1965) are about 2% to 3%. The verifier (always a top grader) tags the suggested change. The change suggestions are shown to another grader, usually PCGS Director of Grading Ron Howard, and if the second grader agrees, a change is made...if he doesn't agree with the suggestion, no change is made.

Changes in verification for modern coins (1965 to date) are less than 1%.

The basic concept is that no coin can get out the door at PCGS without at least two graders agreeing on the grade.
