I think the current bidder is going to be in for a big surprise when his $110 bid gets him a $20 coin... Must have saw the 1894-O and thought "Cha-Ching"

  • If the guy that listed it isn't very bright. What does it say for the people bidding? Maybe they E-mailed to find out what coin they were actually biddding on.

I was thinking on bidding just to see if it was an 1894-O, and if not have him refund the price + postage. Maybe he will learn how to run an auction...

The problem is that I think the bidders are bidding on an 1894 and not an 1894-O as buried in the added description. image

The winner will be very surprised. image

Any 1894 is a high dollar coin, even in AU. But the picture looks like an 1884 to me...

He might have the whole thing set up that way on purpose, probably looked it up in the Redbook and noticed the difference in the P mint price----BigE

Seller replied to the E-Mail and said "oops, it's an 1884" , and ended the auction due to an error in the listing.

Hey, everyone makes mistakes. Anaconda has a 1837 FE cent listed currently on ebay.....image

Maybe it's one of those "the coin you are bidding on resembles the one shown....."
