Extra Cash for Coin buying question.

I started buying up 2002 min sets from the US mint, and break them up into smaller sets or sell them individually like other I see on Ebay.

I might be going at this an extremely slow way, but what other ways are there to get extra cash for my craving of coin buying.

Now remember I only buy small things under $100 or way smaller things to fill my collection albums.

Find a rare type, learn it and cherrypick. I learned how to spot a 1981 Type II SBA without a loupe and now almost every show I go to, I find one sitting in a proof set and/or sold for $8 as a type I. I haven't sold any of the three I found so far, but one just came back as a PR68DCAM from PCGS. For $8, I got a $200 coin.

Or, learning grading of a particular series extremely well. Find those that are undergraded raw or slabbed and try for the upgrade, just be careful you're not taking a chance with alot of money. I picked up a 62 DCAM Frankie, I'm not sure if its a 65 or a 69, but for my purchase price I don't think I could go wrong - $55. If it's a 65, I keep it for my Type Set, if it goes 68/69, I'd probably sell it for a very nice premium.

    Good luck!

    Michael
