As Jim Nabors would say.
Ya' think there's any chance that PCGS will slab this? It is a common 1896 Morgan dollar (Vam6 - repunched 6).
Obverse Reverse.
Why do I think it won't, you ask? I don't. I think it will and may even slab at 64. What is unique about this coin is that, it currently resides in an ACG MS63 holder. BWAHAHAHA
My only dilemma is: Do I want to send it in as a cross, just to see how PCGS handles it, or do I crack it to ensure it gets slabbed? Any comments are welcome.
BTW, are you as surprised as I am?

Surprising, every single coin DID cross but just make sure PCGS knows it is at "any grade".
Most, obviously, went down a notch or two (or three), but a couple on nicely toned Lincolns, although loosing the RED status (and becoming "RB") did go up a grade.
One circulated early Commemorative went from VF30 to XF45. Now, that's a fifteen point jump and I believe a land record for upgrades out of fifth teir Service slabs into PCGS.
-I'd cross in the holder. Accurgrade is a JOKE, but your Morgan is NOT and PCGS is aware of both facts.

Nice coin, but too many bag marks to make PCGS 64, just my opinion.
