Hi,
Could you run through the procedure for crossovers/regrades? Is the grade covered? If not, why?
Also, if one is trying to cross/regrade a 70, must it be cracked out in order to do so?
Thanks,
Jeremy

Before crossovers come into the grading room, the grade is covered. The graders don't know the NGC, ANACS, etc. grade when they put their grade into the computer. We are considering showing the grade to the graders in the future. I believe this would increase the number of croosovers slightly as the graders might be slightly more inclined to punch in a higher grade on a truly liner coin.
On regrades, the coin is cracked out of the holder first, so the graders have no idea what the previous grade is.
