If the loose coin is crooked in the slab, it can be straightened by holding the slab in the vertical position and slowly rotating it like a propeller--the coin will gradually roll around into the position you want.

Would'nt this cause contact marks on the high points of the coin? and thus lessening the grade?

    Real common.
I opened up a Priority Mail box the other day but I couldn't see inside because of all the foam peanuts. I heard something rattling around and I said yep there's the 83-O I been waiting on.

What's that? Eh? Sorry, I can't hear over the rattling of these dinky slabs ... image And, you do have a rarity, Russ, with that non-rattler. image
  • They could be used for calypso music instruments.

I'm a sucker for the old rattlers. I just can't pass them up if I have the dough.
