a question about the icons

if you have say a pickachu icon and you have a coin photo say in oyur documents page on your computer how do you take the photo and change it so the photo of the coin
will show on here instead of the pikachu abopve your name? AND WAHT HAP[PENS IF THE COIN IS LIKE both sides obv and rev side by side will it show on here like that also?

Any picture will work but it can only be a max of 10kb and 100x100 pixels.
