I wonder why it was returned...Mark?

Since you bid on this Mark I was wondering what you think. My guess it's alot darker in person. It's being held just right with enough light to bring out the color coin

  • I think the buyer's wife saw her brand new sofa going out the window and stuffed the sale! image
  • Hmmmm? Interesting toning, yes, very interesting toning.image

Jim, I didn't see the coin in person, so I would only be speculating on why it was returned, if it even was.

I had thought, though, that it did not meet the reserve last time.
  • Mark you met the reserve and it did sell.
  • Hmm, now this is getting interesting.

Jim, I must have been thinking of another/different color commem I bid on that did not meet the reserve.

Ubder the circumstances, your speculation is certainly a reasonable possibility. Of course, out of fairness to the seller, it is possible, that the buyer never paid for it or backed out for some reason.

All the images of this sellers coins look the same to me. I know he came on here once and mentioned a Peace$ that was at auction he did enhance some, then in turn added his statements to the auction.

Do all this sellers images look the same to anybody else, or is it just me?

Or maybe mentioning the images is a touchy subject these days. But I can't help it, I've seen plenty of the images and they all have the same faint like colors. Anyway they just look odd to me. Honestly they don't even appeal to me and I have no interest in bidding on any of these auctions.

Here it is last time. Some guy named ac168 bought it @ $1,425 using a snipe program to bid in the last 5 seconds of the auction. Text

The seller is an infrequent forum member. He goes by the ID "MrD".

I hope he doesn't enhance his images like bondman22. I recently purchased a coin from him on eBay, but have yet to receive it. We'll see...
  • I know the buyer and have seen the coin. I was not the buyer, but the coin, let's say, has some color problems. The buyer returned the coin for this reason, let the 10% 'restocking' fee.

    TRUTH
  • It appears truthteller confirms my suspicions. I also received a PM from a member that was not real pleased with the color on his purchase. This along with the sellers 10% restock fee ( this fee tells me this guy is prepared for returns) keeps this guy off my preferred list. I hope Anaconda is happy with his $2K, 100 dollar proof Indian cent.

    Dog-

I'm curious as to how you could tell that snipe software was used in this auction?
