2. D-Backs get Rey Ordonez from Mets for 2 PTBNL 1 is Russ Johnson & Mets will pay 4.25 of rey's 6.25 mil

did anyone ever notice the mets dying need for outfielders? i mean...grieve cant dh not that he would have been any good there anyway but i mean every year they're only trades are for outfielders...they already have 7 bad outfielders on the 40-man roster, sent tony tarasco to triple-a, and are possibly getting grieve and (if piniella does intend on going for pitching and fielding like he says he wants to) they will most likely get another outfielder. And with all that...youd think theyd have a good outfield...

It's either Vaughn or Grieve, those are the only two that could match up with Ordonez's salary. Mets need a lead off hitter, Grieve could fill that role, they've got enough power guys.

Expos were rumored to be getting Felipe Lopez for Armas, glad to see that deal's not going to happen .
