Is the novelty of owning a fake 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter worth this much? It's not even a good fake at that. The things people will buy never fail to amaze me.

I guess there is a buyer for anything.
Maybe the buyer thinks they can resell it for a profit just leave out the fake part.

I believe the piece from the first auction has the word "COPY" in the small rectangle that is partially in the eagle's right wing. The piece has been worn down so that the word is not easily read.

Tom, I didn't even notice but you're exactly correct. That's where they put the copy stamp, you can still see partial letters on that one.

Wow, this guy buys kids books and movies and expensive fake coins every so often. Looks like he snagged another possible expensive fake-1909-S VDB according to his Oct. 15 feedback. That's sad.
