If this coin looks anything like the picture, this is a good deal. The 1873 is popular due to being the first year of issue, yet is very scarce due to being heavily melted. This appears to be a truly nice AU and is sharply struck. A nice AU of a common date is going to cost $250 or so - for another $50 you get a truly scarce coin!
