Check out this cool 89-O GSA with token Morgan on Ebay

This is too cool. Is it worth the money?

Ebay 805281503.

I think the 89-O is only $15 in XF. This thing is up to $70+

I know the GSA coins bring a prem but it's just another circulated Morgan to me. I wouldn't pay extra for it.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

So what would be the average GSA premium? 20%?

  • WingedLiberty,

That's a good question and one that is hard to answer. To the GSA collector, an as-yet-to-be-discovered date/mintmark will command a tremendous premium. A circulated 1893-O recently brought something like $900 on ebay after very spirited bidding.

  • The premium a collector is willing to pay for any coin - depends entirely on the collector. If it is a coin that he/she needs to complete a set - it may be substantial. If it is just another duplicate already in the collection - it may be zero. There is no hard and fast answer - wish there was - it would sure make things a lot easier.

In this case it's buy the holder not the coin...

I guess in this case the GSA holder is more valuable than the PCGS plastic.
