I wish I had a penny for every 72 I looked at back in the 70's for one of these double dies. I never did find one and I finally bought this one a couple years ago. I did find several 84 double dies when they were first discovered. mike

That's a super nice doubled die, I have always liked that one. The one I think gets the shaft the most is 1972P-1DO-002 (DDO#2). It is every bit as strong as the 1969S DDO, and is quite scarce, but gets kicked in the pants by DDO#1 which is nearly twice as strong in spread. I have a #2, I have yet to acquire a #1.
