#2 AT Franklin Proof Registry Set for sale

Time to take care of a few other things in life. I will entertain any serious offers.

RRL Proof Franklin Set

Half of the coins are tied for highest grade or pop x/1. It was the first ever complete set of Proof Franklins in 100% DCAM, and only one of four possible according to the latest pop reports.

Unfortunately, my digital camera is (hopefully) under the Christmas tree, so I don't have scans / pictures available, but I'm working on that as well.

Regards,

Mark

Nice set! I'm not sure I could a fford a single coin from it. All those DCAMs... wow! The scary part is the number one set must have most of those 1 higher coins in it.
Give Blood (Red Bags) & Platelets (Yellow Bags)!
  • Wow, nice set! I was thinking there were two kinds of folks, those who sell shortly after completing a set and those who keep the complete set for years and years. I guess you fall in between those two extremes image

Mark, will you continue collecting Franklins, something else or take a break?

    Brian,

To put it in perspective, the #1 AT set, EBL III, has NINE coins that I could use, all in DCAM. Many are pop 1 coins. The ability to upgrade from here isn't too great. I have been offered a few upgrades, but just couldn't swing it at the time of offer.

    Carl,

Not exactly sure what I'll do from here. I was thinking about a 20th century type (alredy have most of the easy ones). Last month, during the Dearborn show, I was standing at a table and an older gentlemen came up and began a conversation with the dealer. He said he was working on a complete US type set in AU or better. He questioned the amount of time he had left, and wondered aloud whether he would be able to complete it. That got me thinking about that set as well.

Who knows - I've still got my RRL II set of Franklins (mostly spares) that I can always keep!
