Looking For A New Project - Any Advice

I am thinking of starting a new project with coins I have not collected in the past. I want this to be a short set with a reasonable prospect for completing the set in decent to high grade, without breaking the bank.
My short list is two cent, three cent or shield nickels.
Any advice is always appreciated.

I was pretty much referring to a NEW project. I started on a new set of high grade Frankies a couple of days ago, spurred by your suggestion. It's pretty easy to do, as you just go to ebay, search for "LucyBop" and bid on everything you find!!

but Lucy, Frankies make your liver quiver, I want to see if they'll have the same effect on Mrs SF.

of rare coins - preferably large gold and silver ones (as long as that UBM is not on the face of them!)!

How about a one year MS or Proof set. Some of these do not even have any entries in registered sets. I am working on a 1943. It will never be at the top, but I am having fun. The late 30s and 40s really have some of the neatest coins. Walkers, mercs, war nickels, even the pennies like steelies and some were made with shell casings.
