Toning experts, is this toned 1964 Kennedy real or AT?

Reverse is brilliant with no toning at all. Is this real, or fake? What do you guys think?

Not an expert by any means, my brother who collects toned anything in coins told me that coins will tone on one side due to album plastics laying on the coin OBV? Is that what happened here?

    MrKelso,

I honestly don't know where the toning came from, I bought it this way. I'm completely lost when it comes to toning. That's why I come here and ask people who know about it.image

It's nice and subtle- I'd say it is a natural effect of albums image

I passed on a Frankie in Arizona that was just like this with a brilliant reverse. The dealer told me it was a end roll coin. The reason I passed was way too many hits on the reverse. But I should have boughten it anyway.

I was telling others in the open forum that my grasp of English is not very good. Often I don't know the proper word or how to spell it.

So I should have BUYED or Boughtened or Purchaseeed it...image

Then also, the Kitty uses some 50s slang she has used her whole life.

Looks like a coin that was an end coin. The side expossed to air toned while the side on the inside stayed brilliant. Looks natural.

It looks real. Smooth, even toning. I like the slight mix of pink. I'd hate to see it though and see the lusterous gold is really an off brown.

Yeah, but when I bite in to them, I break teeth.

  • Hey Russ,
Looks like a coin that was at the end of a roll. When ever I purchase an original roll the two end coins have the exposed side toned fairly nicely while the other side is bright and white. BOB
