Anyone know how to drop POP Reports into Excel

Every time I do this the numbers are "text" and not numbers. I have tried converting to numbers with the help option on excel..ie multiplying by 1 but that doesn't work either.

HELP!

This is ugly, but will work.

    Copy the data to Excel.
Then copy from Excel to Word.
Then copy from Word back to Excel.

    Now it should be data.

There is probably a better way, but this will work.

What would you be needing this program for? Is it Three Stooges by chance? Don't use that pop. report, it won't help. I am way ahead of you.

  • Oooppss...my mind went blank.

I had the same problem, and it drove me nuts. TheBobs had it right, except when you have the table in Word replace all the spaces with nothing. In other words, do Edit, Replace, and put a space in "Find What" and nothing in "Replace With." Then copy/paste back into Word.

  • 1954,

Indeed it is for the Three Stooges set...you may be ahead of me now but after your 1st pick you will be eye poked and forehead smacked so many times you won't know whether to pick or wind your watch.

I will process the population data with my extreme analytical prowess of 2 +2 =3 and be ready to go toe-to-toe with you when we split that set.

    NYUK NYUK!

<< <i>Word replace all the spaces with nothing. >>

I never have to do this step, all sorts of combinations of releases though.
