Is this Buffalo Nickel Good or pushing VG?

I saw this coin and could not believe how badly overgraded it was. A kindergardener could tell it was overgraded. Looks original though.

The obverse actually approaches Fine with the distinct date and clear LIBERTY. As for the reverse, 1924-S is one of those dates that have very weakly struck reverses. It appears like there is maybe 50% horn (the horn is one of those features that does not scan well) based upon the wear pattern on the rest of the reverse.
The real problem in my opinion is that the price guides show $50 in Fine and $500 in VF but the VF in the price guides refer to a Full Horn speciman and not a 50%, 75% or even 90% speciman.
Of course this speciman should never be mistaken for a VF speciman regardless of what % of horn.
