The pickings on ebay, at least for me, have been slim. The coins I am seeking are either raw or suspect, or graded way beyond the structure of my collection.
As for my local shops, it's a drought, as it relates to coins I am working on. One of my local dealers says they are having a hard time taking in anything that isn't common, the other is inundated with gold, which is a venture I would just as soon steer clear of. Not in my immediate plans.
I've taken to starting a few new collections while I wait for some other coins to shake loose. I'm working on a high grade Peace Dollar set at the moment, and there is an abundence of these to be had from 60-65.
I've also started dabbling in Roosevelt dime proofs 50-64. It is amazing what you can pick up in these for next to nothing. I just received an MS-68 for which I paid $8.45.
I guess there is always something out there and you just have to either sit tight, or divert your attention for a while.
<< <i>Really???? I seem to find all kinds of Frankies on Ebay! >>
Come to think of it, I had not thought about starting a high grade slabbed Franklin set!
I think I'll get working on that right away.

Thanks for the idea Lucy!
Save your money !! That great piece is just around the corner.
I've been looking for a FA-AG chain cent. I'd like an AG3 with some problems so it would match my Wreath.
I'm also trying to pry a rare variety for my cent collection from another guy.
I have a want ad in the next Longacre Ledger for an 1857 1c with the reverse clash of the seated 25c. Hopefully I hear something when that comes out.
People are not wanting to part with the "good" stuff. Ebay is loaded down with about 90% junk. The usual class acts have nice stuff, such as Iras4 and BigD for example. Most of the online dealers that I check out don't have much eye appealing stuff.
I have found one nice coin on ebay that I may bid on. I do have several on my "watch" page to watch for a good deal.

Sounds to me like you need a bigger crowbar.
