Bust half graded by ACG

I know most members abhor grading by ACG, and that I might have my privileges revoked for posting this, but I love this coin. Please ignore the slab and let me know what you think. I promise I'll crack it out and properly dispose of the slab. image I absolutely must have an example with this type of coloring and eye appeal (except for the spots in the back). Please stop me if you think I can do better for a similar price. I promise I'll never do it again.

Bust half

Thanks,

Casey

    It's overpriced right now.

I think it is an XF and cleaned. A $45 coin. Sorry

Thanks Greg. If you think it has been cleaned, then I'll avoid it and keep looking.

its a beautiful coin. xf/au but a common date I would not bid over $80.00 on it. you can pick up a nice half bust at any coin shop for that money. (without 4.50 shipping)

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

Always looking for nice type coins

  • From that scan it's impossible to tell. It could be anywhere from XF - MS and could be cleaned and retoned or original. The odd color is from the photo not the coin because the slab has the same off color. But it keeps you from knowing what the color of the coin really is or whether it has a washed out appearance. Without being able to see the coin and how the luster changes I can't tell if the flat areas are from wear or striking and these coins often have flat areas from poor striking.
