Hi y'all,
I just purchased an ANACS 63 '28-P Peace Dollar. Why? Because a circulated '28-P was the first and most valuable coin that was given to me when I was a kid-by my maternal grandmother. Someone asked awhile back why we collect? Well, there's an answer. The price of '28's don't change much up to 63, so I can't go wrong too badly with this purchase. The coin was less than $300-and fills a type set slot.
I am preparing for yet another foray to Europe this summer (just heard from a young fräulein!) and might sell the Monster, so don't be surprised if you see it on eBay in 2003. I won't let it go cheaply, though. I don't have to sell the coin but it might be better to have the cash if "life issues" change!
I have asked Adrian permission to use his scan-and will pay him a courtesy fee if it sells. That's only fair, yes? I saw the thread about Adrain's "cherrypick." Given my history here, I'd like to be as "up-and-up" as possible.
I do feel better but it's "easy-does-it."
Thanks,
Barney

Or perhaps he could let you use the scan for free out of the goodness in his heart as thanks for your business.

<< <i>Barney, Willkommen wieder. Pm me when you decide to sell it. I know a young man who might be interested.

I think that young man might be me. Anyways great purchase Barney,I've had that coin on my 'want list' for some time now.I'd settle for one in AU owing to current budget constraints.I saw one at the Buena Park show a few months ago in a dealers case that Strat and I agreed was cleaned so I passed.
Braddick, I think you know it's $3000 not $300.
'nucks, barring unexpected cirumstances I plan to be in Anaheim for the January 12 show. It will be a special day for me-an anniversary of sorts. I look forward to meeting the gang up there-and of course
I'll bring my metallic goodies.
Take care and happy holidays,
Barney
