State Quarter ?????? in a Registry Set

keetskeets Posts: 25,351 ✭✭✭✭✭
In my jefferson set i have a 2002 proof registered that shows in the list. At the same time I'm prevented from registering a 2002 Ohio state quarter in my modern circ set.

Here's the twist----when i look at my set, next to the space for the state quarter it has VT 25c which suggests to me that I have to register a Vermont quarter in my set. Is this right?!?!?!? imageimageimage If it is, all i can say is I've discovered my first major complaint about the set registry and I now own a quarter that I purchased specifically for that purpose from my home state!!!! How totally stupid if I'm assigned the Vermont quarter for my set!!!image

Any comments to verify or explain this? thanks.

Sounds like some DB programming issues if you ask me. Also sounds like bunk.

  • My recollection from last year is that, at this time of year, the current year coins are optional coins in most of the registry sets. The exception is the type sets, where you cannot yet enter 2002 coins at all. So, no, you have not been "assigned" Vermont. But, until they update the coins in early 2003, you must use a 1999, 2000, or 2001 quarter in any type set.
