    I've never seen it before either, perhaps there is evident machine doubling on the 96 of 1967.

    Misattributed tripe. There is no such thing as far as NCADD and CONECA are concerned. They would have mentioned something in their magazines if so. A 1967 cent die variety would be a big deal no matter how minor, considering there are none known to date.

    Not only that, but that is basically attributed as a repunched date, which cannot technically exist on Lincoln cents.

    Leave it to the pond scum slabbers to mention machine doubling on their holders...a worthless, minor error that has very little if any collector following UNLESS it's in a slab...then it's suddenly worth the big bucks.

    Your imagination - sort of. All 1967 cents are like that. There is nothing unusual about that coin other than the attention it's receiving.
