A couple of Questions

I have been debating registering my set of $2 1/2 gold Indians... and , I'm just wondering:

1. what are the advantages?
2. I have all but one - so is it really a set or is a "Set" all of a variety?

  • If you have all but one you have a set you are working on. I am working on all my sets image One advantage is someone might see that you need one coin and offer it to you or help you find it.

If you want to display your coins to the public then by all means register. Also consider imaging your coins. I know I love to see images of coins...
  • Thanks Carl....I registered my set a while ago.

Pardon me for asking Daniel, but do you have a brother named Dewey? image

  • You are the FIRST person that ever asked me about that or associated me with a person of that name :-)

  • Carl,

Just wanted to let you know I did go ahead and register my set. I am talking to someone now about the one coin I don't have in the set and looking also at some up-grades.

    Dan-

I think you made a good decision to register you set, but I don't think of any advantage to it - other than the fun. You can show your friends your ranking.

A "Set" is just a PCGS definition of a group of coins. It doesn't have to be complete to be in the Registry (most aren't).

I agree with Carl - those are nice coins and you should put pictures up.

Maybe that should be a requirement to list a set - to include pictures so everybody can look at them. I enjoy looking at a lot of pictures people post in their sets.
