Depends on coin. If you think the coin is really an MS-63 I would try to cross it over. I wouldn't break it out. Chances are if you broke the coin out and sent it to PCGS it would only grade an MS-62.
  • i'm not sure what it would rate i'm new at this rating but the pcgs holder makes it more know
as far as tradable how would i send it in in the holder its in now
and ask them not to open unless rate the same or higher

wayneme, the pictures are just to small to tell. Common $5 liberty's double in price from about $300 in MS62 up to about $600 in MS63. So if you paid around $300 I would guess the dealer thought it was 62. Can you post a bigger picture? mike

wayneme, these coins are mostly graded by the obverse and your picture is kind of fuzzy of the obverse but I can tell the luster breaks appear to go right up into the stars infront of liberty's face which in my experience would keep this out of getting a 63. Although once in awhile I have seen toning in a scan that looks like a luster break so I guess I really can't say for sure. mike
