Grader question for Mr. Hall

Are you planning to hire a new grader (or graders) within the next few months? I have heard rumors to that effect and figure you'd be the one to know/ ask.

DISCLAIMER - the above question is in no way intended to elicit an offer from you or to be construed as an expression of any interest in such a position.

What are your salary requirements Mark?

    Mr. Hall,

Please re-read my initial post in this thread and in particular, my disclaimer. image

For me, it's not about salary requirements - I'm very happy in my present job. But, I very much appreciate your question.

Sorry, David - night time only (posting here) would never cut it. image

I know of a good 2 or 3 people here (well, one, at least!) who would really miss me. image

  • I'd miss Mark too. I think he is too much of a "people person" to be locked up in a dark grading room all day - again image

We are finite beings, limited in all our powers, and, hence, our conclusions are not only relative, but they should ever be held subject to correction. Positive assurance is unattainable. The dogmatist is the only one who claims to possess absolute certainty.

    I'd miss you too, Mark!

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I think you all misinterpreted Marks inquiry. He wasn't looking for a job for himself but rather wants to upgrade PCGS grading service by putting forum members in the grading room. That is why he ran the guess the grade excercise yesterday!
David knows that Mark makes so much working for Pinnacles that he no longer can be touched except on Sundays when he could drive the 40 minutes up the coast. So stand in line guys/gals and send in your resumes.

    Trime,

Actually, I wasn't looking for a job for myself or for any forum members (though I'm sure that many among us could provide some serious benefit/help to PCGS image).

I was just curious as to whether PCGS will be hiring one or more new graders. David apparently, did not wish to answer my question and I have no problem with that.

Hmmmmmm. An ex NGC grader at PCGS. Now that would be an interesting 'Crossover'. Don't you dare! We need you here.image

    Zerbe,

I'm afraid that even if I wanted to "crossover" to PCGS, they might "bodybag" me for something or another, most likley AI or QI (artificial or questionable intelligence). image

Mark...Perhaps you should have asked me the question on the Q&A Forum where I answer questions every Tuesday night. Perhaps my "reply" to your question was my way of telling you that. Gotta body bag you for QI on that one...David

    Fair enough, David.

But (and I know you knew there would be a "but", since I am such a pain in your "butt" image ) - once you saw the question/thread and bothered to reply at all, why not answer the question then and there?

Please don't make me go the the Q&A forum to find out.image
