Russ - in taking those photos was anything done to them using photoshop to paint out scratches or did the scratches simply disappear from the first two photos by virtue of the coins placement and angle of lighting? If photoshop was used then which "tools?"

No software editing at all. Just angle and lighting. I'm poor, I can't afford those fancy programs.
