I just sniped this 1783 Washington token

The images looked really bad, but I have bought from this seller before, so I went ahead and printed out copies of both the obverse and reverse of the token. Amazingly, when printed you can actually see a lot of detail that is missing in the on-screen images. If it is genuine, I think I got a real deal imageeBay auction

Genuine? All those are counterfeits but maybe it is a genuine counterfeit. They were actually minted in the 1820s. Most are copper but yours looks like it might be brass, they were made in brass, copper, and silver. I think yours is worthy of a closer look by an expert in the series. Most of the big services grade them.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

terrific find, i have a couple of these, the double-heads too. looks au+, value probably $300 if it's real nice. in true unc, these puppies are not that common.

    fantastic job!
