Coin show finds! 2 toned morgans, 1 toned peace, 1 toned WL!!

What do you all think of these beauties?!?! Where I don't show the opposite side of the coin, it's white. I went to a dealer's table and looked at a toned morgan. He then pulled out a dansco album with a consignor's coins. Got a great deal on them, too. The Peace dollar toning is darker than the image, though. The 1889 morgan is probably technically AU, but I bet it'll market grade to MS62. The other morgan is excellent. And that walker was a nice surprise!

Just had to share these little gems!

I'm going to go back now and get a few more. Was going to stay in budget, but now think I won't. He's got one more toned peace. image

Very nice looking Morgans, but the Peace looks a little suspect. I assume from the pic that it's raw.

Did someone say "toned peace?" image All are very nice, I like those morgans, great rainbows! The Peace is great looking and trust me, they are hard to find! If you'd like to "get rid" of that one or any other toned peace, just let me know. image

Well, I went out and bought two more. Another morgan (1885) and a 1926s peace with gold toning that's really nice. And, Michael, if you are really interested, send me a PM and we might be able to work something out.

I know that purple can be a bad color, but not always. These are raw coins, but there are some authenticating areas that I looked at before I purchased. Also, keep in mind that the pictures lightened up the toning a bit. It's darker in person. I'm planning on sending all of them to PCGS. And if one or two come back AT, it's a lesson learned. But I don't think they will.

Looking at that peace in my hand, its color isn't as purple as the pic. More a dark red-gold. No wear I can see. Looks 65 to me, but I can't grade peace $s well.

The 99 is nice, really clean and I don't see how you call the 89 AU because I sure don't see any circulation. I like the obv periph.

Thanks guys. image I thought that the 1889 might be au58 because it looked like a tiny bit of wear in the fields. If it ain't wear, I'm happier!

I'm actually posting in another thread one morgan I went back for. Mainly because I want to know how that type of toning occurred. I'm planning on slabbing them. Even though I'm confident in their authenticity, if I choose to sell I want the buyer to have a reasonable assurance that they're authentic.

It looks like it might have been scooting around in a loose roll or in a bag and have some rub from it and it doesn't look like circulation wear but it's really hard to tell a 58 from a 60 by digital pict. Keep us posted on how they grade out.
