Well I must admit, my stomach twisted a little when I first opened the box Larry sent me. All I was expecting was a single slab, and while I know he likes to throw in little freebies, I wasn’t expecting half a 2000 proof set still in the mint plastic. (The good half, the part without the state quarters.) Well fear not, there in the box, double-wrapped for safety, was the PCGS MS69 2002 $10 Platinum Eagle that I was expecting. All for less than the Eagle alone would have cost if purchased on eBay.
