Shipping arrangements to PSA

As a private collector, I'm looking for a smoother, easier way to comply with PSA's request to send cards via registered mail. I'm tired of long Post Office lines sending and receiving cards this way, let alone the hassle of getting to the Post Office during hours.

What about a personal Fedex account? I am able to send and receive Fedex at my workplace. What are your experiences concerning Fedex in this manner?

And what are other ways that you folks comply? I wouldn't mind spending a little more money for the convience!

  • I send everything to & from PSA via FedEx - never had a problem (knock on wood). I don't think you HAVE to send teh stuff registered mail, just they want you to be certain it's insured...
Why do I get the feeling, that some cards are worth money, while others are not?
  • You do not have to send cards to PSa registered mail... It is only strongly recommended.... I would imagine 2nd day federal express would be the way to go to save money I have never had a problem sending cards via Fed Ex... But have not sent them to PSA this way....

they have a special fedex address.
i'll dig it up and post it unless charlie is reading this and gets to it sooner.
  • Here's that address:

    700 East Alton Ave
    Santa Ana, CA 92705

I send all of my cards to PSA via Fed Ex. No problems ever. But from what I hear, there is a $500 limit in insurance for collectible cards.

  • anyone shipping with Fed-X needs to be VERY CAREFUL they read their service contract first. I know a dealer in New York who used his Fed-X account to ship to PSA and ran into serious trouble. Apparently his service contract limited Fed-X's liability on lost or stolen shipments to $500.00, regardless of the amount that it might be insured for. He sent a box with $5,000.00 insurance to PSA, and when it showed up it was empty - YES EMPTY. Someone at Fed-X had apparently seen where it was going, and cut it open in route. He tried to get the insured value paid, and was told his service contract tlimits would apply instead. So, to say the least he was hosed. READ YOUR SERVICE AGREEMETS

  • That is correct. $500 is all you'll recover.

    Hey folks,

Thanks for the input. I think fedex will work well for me, and I'll definitely pay attention to the $500 limit.
