I agree with the vf30. The shoulder clasp looks a bit worn for any higher grade.

That's a very lovely coin! I really like the peripheral toning on it. Without seeing the reverse, I would have to put it in the VF range, but could not get finer than VF30-VF35. Nice score!image

  • That sure is a pretty coin for the grade. I would say it should trade easily at XF money.image

Now that i switched over to my 21 inch LCD i can see it much better. Very Nice Piece I do see the even wear now so my Au55 was a bit much. The Rev is looking good. Breen had a few things to say about this year and a few vars
here and there about the 5 and the 0

The 1830 i have was graded by PCGS AU55 as a Large 0 Var basically looks just like this one( the 0 that is).
    Nice catch Enjoy it.

solid vf...attractive for the grade...a defect free piece...would have to show a little less wear to get xf money from me...

i'd have guessed vf-25, but i could understand a net-grade up to vf-30 for beautiful toning.

It appears that it probably was a tad weak in strike (notice weaker details toward back of head and eagle's right wing; both areas opposite the opposing side'd high points). I wouldn't be surprised if it were graded smack dab between VF/XF and trades closer to XF than VF, particularly as appealing as it looks, to me anyway.

That is a very nice specimen!

  • CH.VF at best but it would not suprise me to see the slab grade of XF.
