GSA 1884 CC Morgan's with Repunched 8

I just came across three GSA 1884 CC Morgans with the first 8 repunched (in the lower loop). It is visible to the naked eye, if you know what you are looking for. It also appears that the base of the 1 is repunched. On huge magnification (20x), it is clear that the base of the second 8 is also repunched. Are these common, as I came across three in a group of about eight 1884s? Are they more valuable? If so, by what factor?

RKKay- I don't know much about morgan varieties but I suspect if you hae three that they are not very rare- but this is just a general observation. Anyways this question will get back to the top. mike

Most of the '84-CC varieties have doubling on the 1 or 8 or both, and are considered minor die varieties and thus do NOT command a premium.

AT least 9 Minor VARS from 10 pairs of dies some with light repunching on date and /or CC.UNCs. are plentiful from treasury bags and GSA holdings (962,000) Breen page 453
