Our local news service said $10,000 in cash and coins was found in a plastic bag. "Newest" date was 1985 which makes authorities believe it's been there for 15 years. Unconfirmed reports that an unidentified male asked authorities if they "got any proof JFKs" image

Please write to those news people and thank them for finding my father's stash of coins and to return them to me. I'll gladly give them 1 coin out of the pile.

In a similar story,a couple that bought a house in Corpus Cristi Texas had apparently discovered and dug up what was reported as a million dollars in old gold and silver coins. If I remember right the collection consisted of some 244 coins. The former property owner claims those are HIS coins and wanted to thank the couple for retrieveing HIS coins. This should be tied up in court for awhile I guess.

Ahh, that case is easily solved though. I remember when I bought my house that it was clearly stated that the title included any property on the plot of land. And if I got the title insurance for $50, if anyone claimed anything that was still on there then I'd get the cash equivalent of it if they recovered it legally. So if they bought the title insurance, they can rest easy no matter how it works out. And, how is that former owner going to prove it?
  • Turns out that in New Orleans back in the sixties a certain DA named Jim Garrison was attempting to prove Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone. One day in court a group of protesters dressed as President Kennedy look-alike's began to chant "Johnson did it. Johnson did it." Fed up with the disruption in his court, Judge Roy Russ pointed his gavel menacingly at the protesters and loudly demanded

    Got any Proof, JFKs?
Buy the coin...but be sure to pay for it.
