strange change part: two???

My second scan of change I have come across. first this 1999 nickles actually shows more detail under the scan than to my eye. second, Is this a common error? Third How can I tell what this blob is? Lastly, between the arrows are the letters (upside down) D O L It is easier to see than scan any ideas???Thanks you have all welcomed me nicely. Staceychange

Your second coin is off-center, looks like about 10%. That should bring a decent premium!
Your third coin has a CUD error, a piece of the die broke off leaving the coins it struck un-struck where the piece of the die was missing. Also a nice premium value, maybe up to $10.
I don't see anything on the Lincoln cent so I would have to pass.

I would come closer to agreeing with you than standing by this being struck through cloth. I'm no expert with errors, I don't claim to be. I did use the caveat "if" when mentioning struck through cloth...and have seen an example where it didn't show the weave of the textile well enough to capture in a scan, but this one does look more like a struck through capped die anyway...still a premium value coin nonetheless.
