If the obverse of a particular coin is a Good 6 and the reverse is a AG 03 will the PCGS grade of the coin be a Good 04??

What makes the coin a better grade, the obverse or the reverse?

On the coin you describe the split is quite pronounced, so there is no clear answer. It would depend on whether the AG03 side was high end or low end...I not kidding, no matter how absurd that sounds. If it was high end, then the GD04 grade is probably appropriate.

In general the obverse is a little more important than the reverse.
