Update on ebay rules violations...

I thought that some of you would be interested in this email just sent to me by ebay. They ended a couple of my auctions based on my restocking fee, and a reference to my about me page. I wrote them to clarify the matter and they wrote me this...

<< <i>Hello Morris,

Thank you for writing to eBay regarding the notice you have received. I
understand your concern, and would like to explain this information a
little further.

Upon further review of the information that you have provided, as well
as the listings involved, I have determined that your listing was not in
violation of the guidelines noted in the cancelation notices that you had
received. I have updated your account so that the incorrect information
will not be regarded in the future.

Please accept our apology for any inconvenience or confusion that this
situation may have caused.

For more information on our listing guidelines, please visit our Listing
Policies page at the following URL:

This was in response to emails stating that I was passing along fees to buyers, which was not true, I think they just misread the information regarding the restocking fee...as well as a reference to an "off-ebay" web page, which again was not true as the reference is in regard to the pointing to the about me page, which is clearly an "on-ebay" web page.

Thank you all for your continued interest in my auctions, I would regard my last offering of over 300 coins on ebay to be quite a success, with well over 50% of the coins selling. I will continue to list coins on ebay and hopefully be able to learn and conform to the market levels of the coins I offer.

Congratulations Morris. Glad to hear you straightened eBay out. It's encouraging to see that they will own up to their mistakes and take appropriate action. I hope you're getting some free listings for all they put you through. image

Mr Lee, you are exactly right, I also wrote them back telling that it was refreshing that they had gotten away from their, "it my way or the highway" sort of attitude they used to portray.

I should hit them up for some free stuff too.
