I hope you're not actually proud of the crappy season the Seminoles put together, now they get to stumble into a BCS game only because the rest of the ACC is just as crappy this year. The silver lining is they'll get murdered in the bowl game.

I think these automatic BCS berths are a joke. Well, I think the BCS in itself is a joke, they should have an 8-team playoff or something, so teams like FSU couldn't back their way into a bowl they don't deserve to be in...

Its ridiculous that florida state got smoked at home by notre dame who usc beat by 30 points last night yet fsu will get a bcs berth while usc and might not. Kansas state should be in too beacuse they beat usc.

Remster, I did just that for five years. Back then, FSU fans would have been embarassed to stumble into a bowl they didn't deserve at 9-4, and wouldn't have been saying a word.

I think people were putting added pressure on the Noles at the beginning of the
season when they just wern't that good! I think you all need to realize a few
things though....FSU played the hardest schedule of any college football team.
You may laugh at the ACC, but there are decent teams in that league. You might
also notice that while other teams are playing joke schools out of confrence, we
are playing Miami, Notre Dame and Florida! You might also remember how
close we were to knocking off Miami, something that hadn't been done in
30 games!

You may not agree with how the BCS works, but you can't fault the Noles
during a off-year, for winning their confrence and having a chance to
win 10 games!

Check the schedules of the teams that you think are great and you will
realize that all those no-name schools they play really kill them in the
end!

well if you say this team beat that team, and they beat them...it don't work like that because it's how you match up, and face it Gators beat Georgia handily, and FSU smoked the Gators...I am a Gators fan, but straight up can tell you FSU has a shot against Georgia, there most impressive game of the year was last week though, maybe there ready now...Who knows, College Football seems rigged anyway man, I bet all kinds of money on it, and see BS all the time, there is so much money bet in Vegas and everything that players are paid off all the time under our noses, but if you dont want to believe it then dont....But its true....Uhm, Oklahoma St. CRUSHED Oklahoma AGAIN? Well, sad to say, but there were many more BS games than that!

Im not making this up , check the BCS stats! If you check the bcs stats you will see that usc has the number one ranked schedule. A team with 4 losses should not make a bcs game, especially when they lost to louisville and were easily handled by nc state and notre dame.

actually... according to the BCS stregnth of schedule... Notre Dame has the 3rd toughest schedule in the nation not #1...

should have, could have, would have... Penn State could also very easily be undefeated right now too if they didnt lose in OT to both Iowa and Michigan, and then lose again by just 6 to OSU.

you cant say that if they did this if they did that... there are a lot of teams out there that "could" have had excellent seasons if it were not for a few games

God what a stupid statement....hey, if Michigan had beaten Iowa, Ohio State and Notre Dame, they'd probaly be number one too!

Does it somehow make it better that FSU could have won those games, but didn't? So they're chokers. Also, the fact that Notre Dame has slipped....this is supposed to be a GOOD thing for FSU? Just shows what a crummy team easily beat them.

however you look at it... FSU lost 4 games this year... they should not be getting an automatic BCS Bowl Bid

im not saying that they are a bad team... but there are other teams much more deserving to be in a bigger bowl

I was raised in Central FL, and am a DIEHARD FSU Fan. I have a few things to say:

1) Bobby Bowden is the best college football coach ever.

2) FSU beating U of F was great (had to watch that USC vs. Notre Dame joke of a game).

3) FSU had 2 "quality losses" Miami and Notre Dame.

4) FSU DOES NOT DESERVE A MAJOR BOWL.

5) FSU could beat Georgia (I think it'll be within 10 either way.

6) I am ALL for a 8 game playoff, but who would it be this year in your opinion?

than a lot of teams with 2 losses who didn't play anyone!

Admit it, FSU has created a dynasty under Bobby. You all don't like that, but they

Fsu cant beat anyone in the top 10. They have been exposed numerous times. They were blown out by notre dame and couldnt even score an offensive touchdown against nc state. The only reason they are ranked so high most years is because they play in the acc which limits their losses. Their future was kicked off the team when mcpherson was arrested. As soon a the off. coordinator richt left for georgia the team went downhill. It makes you wonder who the most important coach on that team was.

i watched the FSU/Notre Dame game, and FSU outplayed them.....It was one of Notre Dame's many BS wins...And ACC is as good as most divisions, PAC-10 which has your team, Maryland could probably do well in the division, I'd say they'd make it out of there with about 2 conference losses....But as for thinking Bobby Bowden is a great coach is crazy, he is a GREAT recruiter, getting talent by the dozens, but in Florida they are overrated with football talent, followed by the states: Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, California, New York.................And I honestly dont think McPherson is any good, Rix isn't very good btu looks better than McPherson does!!! McPherson is really a better basketball player

Oh give me a break, fsu outplayed them and would have lost by 30 if notre dame didnt play prevent defense and give fsu 2 gift touchdowns. Putting a few nice drives together and turning the ball over is not outplaying someone. The acc is a horrible conference. Maryland would be a middle of the road team. They were already exposed by notre dame just like fsu. The third best team in the acc is clemson who is very average. Your point that florida has the best high school talent is also debatable. California fills the majority of rosters of pretty much the entire pac 10 sends and kids all over the country. Rix and Ken dorsey are from california. Florida state has several other players from california on their team and so does miami.

Comparing the ACC to the Pac 10 is like comparing Conference USA to the Big 10: Total BS. Every year, FSU is good, and then one token team puts together a decent year. One year it''ll be North Carolina, then Georgia Tech, then Maryland. That conference had zero major wins, their most impressive win to point to is FSU beating Florida, BIG FREAKING WHOOP.

about once every 10 years, while FSU is always up there AND we play a tough
schedule every season which includes Miami and the Gators and now Notre
Dame...which of your chump teams can boast that?? Again you are ticked that
the Noles are going to once again get a 10 win season and your teams will
do the same but no one will care because of your chump schedules...you might
as well play in the conf USA!!

First off, florida state will not win their bowl game. They already have shown they cant beat a top team. Second, florida state already plays in a weaker conference than conference usa so their schedule is not nearly as tough as you make it out to be. Fsu are the biggest chumps because they dont have the guts to play is a football conference instead of a basketball conference like the acc.

anyone in the top 10! How sad is that?? You want to play Miami and
the Gators every year on top or your conf. schedule?? you know
you would get your butts kicked every year, so you have to program
teams like Cal and then beat them by only 3 at home! Thats
sad! You think you could go down the Miami and play them to a tie..
you know you would get your butts handed to you! (thats why you
don't play any out of conf good teams!!) Play a real schedule before

umm... my "chump team" Penn State can boast something similar. We play OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin plus the rest of the Big Ten when there is always at least one extra team who puts together a big season (ie. Iowa this season, Illinois last year, Northwesern in prior years, etc.). Plus we scheduled Miami last year and this year we had Nebraska (who at the time was a top 10 team). I would say that is hardly a chump schedule

7 out of the 11 big ten teams have been ranked in the top 25 some time this year (including 4 in the top 13 right now)... can your stud ACC conference claim that?

auburn, colorado, kansas state and notre dame. That is usc's out of conference schedule. 11 of 12 teams that usc played were in the top 25 at the time they played. Usc has only played one team with less thatn 7 wins. Usc has shown they will play anyone anywhere. Florida state plays in a third rate conference and that is the only reason they get 10 wins most years. Maimi is THE team in florida, always has been and always will be. You talk about having to play against the florida schools. Usc has played the most dominant team in college football history(notre dame) every year around 70 years. Florida state had a good run in the 90's but it is over now that miami is back.

FSU had better keep scheduling the Florida and Miami games, because without them their schedule becomes about as tough as Tulane's. FSU has to schedule those games because its conference is an embarassment, while teams like Michigan, Penn State, Miami and USC play a brutal conference schedule and schedule Top 25 teams for some of their out of conference games.
