I feel bad for the bidders
<< <i>What is wrong with making his own........Just try putting a signed item that you got in person on ebay with out any documentation as proof of its authenticity. You'll see there is a bigger difference in selling price usually. >>
Wow. Now we condone dealers making their own COA. There is no mention of this guy obtaining this auto in person. If he had, then a COA from him would work here (with some documentation of course of the date, location, etc..)
This guy makes a valiant effort to ensure it is authentic. But, I get a COA from him, get the auto verified that it is fake, and this guy disappears. And then, it's just a piece of paper.
For EVERY autograph I obtain in person (at shows mostly), I make sure to take a picture of the athlete signing my item. That's all I'll ever need.
The ONLY good thing is that this guy backs it with a money back guarantee. And his COA, in essence, becomes an oversized receipt.
You can't certify the authenticity of an autograph if you did not witness it's creation. Period.
This is a complete joke.

PS. I have a Jeter autograph that doesn't look like this one. This one on the card seems "longer" than the one I have.

I sold autographed baseballs earlier this year for a friend who needed the cash. For those autos without COA's, we included in the ebay listing a scan of the advertisement from which the show was advertised.
Even THAT is more credible (for a third party seller >> me) than someone making a COA for something they didn't witness getting signed.
My first questions to this joker would be where, when and how was this signed. If he had no answers for me, and no documentation, then he would not get my business.
Mark
and yea.. i also agree that the Jeter looks nothing like any of the auto's i have of him... it is longer as stated earlier and the end of his signature doesnt run off as much as it does on the auto ... oh well... hopefully the bidder asked some questions and has a good idea where the auto came from
