What exactly is the defination of FBL?

I understand the concept of full bell lines, but what is the exact criteria. All lines side to side, or some lesser
value?

Thanks,

    PCGS.
    Full Bell Lines
Term applied to Franklin half dollars when the lower sets of bell lines are complete (FBL). Very slight disturbance of several lines is acceptable.
  • No major marks going through the lines also

The bottom row of lines should be clearly visable and full, with no interuptions or distractions.... Do they always follow that, most of the time..

  • Boy, that was quick. Thanks, I didn't realize it didn't include the upper bell lines also. It is a good day when you

Ngc requires all 7 lines to be complete to get a fbl designation.

Though like PCGs they do allow some hits on the lines....
