How about every Mike Miller card ever made. The guys' GU float in the K-mart/C-webb range, and I can't figure out why...he sucks, and no one collects him.

well Beckett doesn't price cards off Ebay, ONLY

theres millions of shows, other auction sites.

plus its a GUIDE... its not set in stone...

I think Beckett does a decent job, I like how they wait for an item to consistently sell for over book for some time before raising the price. The magazine is supposed to be a steady influence on the hobby, not jumping all over the place every month.

You gotta remember that Beckett gets alot of their pricing from dealers around the country that run shops etc. I doubt they really even look at Ebay even though they should more.

Sosa makes a good point, and on top of that you have to remember how few people are buying cards online even now. Ebay provides a worldwide service to people who don't have a local cardshop or want a card the local shops cannot provide. I think it's completely natural for certain cards to go higher, since for some people it is their only shot at the card they want. If Beckett used ebay to set prices, it would only be representing a small portion of the market.

Well, in that case, I wish they tell me where cards are selling for book so I can fly there and sell the remainder of mine.
