OK, every year I send an amazing gift to my Nephew Ryan for Christmas...This is how the last few years went...
1999-His mom does not allow him Candy, so I purchased him a 5 lb bar of Hershey’s Chocolate Bar. His mom could not deny the gift and he was allowed to eat…. SOME of the candy bar…However, his mom informed me that he will never be allowed to keep such a gift again. So, next year I went with…
2000-The next year I sent him a sheet of uncut one-dollar bills, 32 bills in all, they loved it. It currently resided in a frame on his wall, in his room.
2001-Last year I sent a shoe box covered in fake bills as rapping paper, upon opening it up, they found 85 dollar bills, 1 five and 1 ten dollar bill rolled up (Crumbled up). The Shoe Box was stuffed tight so they could not shake it to figure out what was in it….They went crazy with excitement, they could not believe the pile of money…lol.
2002- And now this year, I have decided to make a Treasure chest and fill it with Sacagawea dollars, to simulate A Pirate chest full of GOLD coins….. I purchased the chest already a small one, but effective to hold 100 Sacs. I plan on adding a fake pearl necklace and some fish rocks to simulate gems…
This all stems from a family that is well off and they have more than they need, so the task at hand is to send an unusual present that is use full rather than a present that will sit on the shelf or be forgotten within a week. I figure they can buy what they want with the cash from last year and the cash from this year…
Last year the money went towards Gymnastics classes, this year it’s either a new bike or skiing lessons (That is what they told me they are interested in )…..(They being his mom and himself). But they do not know what I am sending…Soooo, this is where you all come in……
I am thinking about adding some unusual coins that are not seen everyday. I have acquired a few SBA dollars from the Post office but I am thinking about adding some Ike dollars due to they size…….
Does anyone know how I can get say maybe 20-25 Ike dollars at face or close to face value? Or is that unheard of?
Also, I would appreciate any suggestions you may have to make this present more exciting.
Thanks everyone,
Ray

<< <i>fill it with Sacagawea dollars >>
How old is this kid? Aren't you concerned about long-term emotional and psychological trauma from the exposure to large quantities of ugly?

If u really want the kid to be happy u wouldnt think of putting one of these in there. (see above) I believe thats child abuse.
