Bought The Coin (Obverse) - Not The Holder

I found this on e-bay... what a nice DCAM obverse for a 1957 Franklin. Since the price was no higher than most PR67s of that year, I took it.

Right and that coin can't even get the CAM designation because the reverse is brilliant, Shame. That might be a cheaper way to build a super Franklin set though, look for pieces with DCAM obverses but Brilliant reverses.

IMO Proofs with no designation w/ one sided CAM/DCAM; or CAM designation w/ one sided DCAM are great bargains when they are priced by the holder.

That might have been the last strike with that reverse die. The next coin might have been a solid two-sided DCAM (w/ new rev die).

Great coin for a great price. I'm jealous.
