I don't want the coin, I just want to make the current high bidder pay more. The high bidder is the person that gave me a hard time last weekend by trying to sell something he chose not to be completely truthful about. He did a pre-emptive block on me because my questions about a coin got too close to home (see "Questionable business practices" post on the World and Ancient coins forum if interested). Nothing more, nothing less. I just now feel an insatiable urge to bid against him whenever I get the chance.
okay, OKAY! I've been brought to my sensibilities....I am going to keep an eye out though because I feel that it is likely that this coin, if won by the guy I was talking about, will show back up on ebay as a 3 to 4 higher grade coin for all the unsuspecting newbies to drool over. I'll let you know. S

If I was bidding I would probably go $400 tops.

speaking of questionable business practices, how would you feel about someone trying to bid you up with no intention of being the purchaser?
I think let it ride is the smart option. The coin is harshly cleaned if not whizzed on the obverse.
