Biggest Turkey Coin Purchases

What is the biggest Turkey of a coin you ever purchased?
I'll go back to a set of 5 Morgan Dollars I got at an estate sale. They were in a velvet box, and had (mostly) attractive toning. They had all been previously cleaned, and were AU before the cleaning. At least I only paid $60 for the set. At least my other purchases at the auction were decent; 5 79 Type 2 proof sets for $6 each; and MS63 1882-CC Morgan for $80.
I also think of an MS68 1976-S silver Washington I over paid for.... paid near $300. The day before, one had run up over $400, but these commonly trade between $100 & $200 today.

me too.
I did a lateral move though at $200 for a really nice one, so the hickey on the first doggy 68 didn't hurt that bad. ($100 hickey)
I will no longer buy anything raw over $100 until my ability to spot any type of cleaning improves.
